About the Organisation:

A key Federal government agency that is responsible for driving specific economic goals and helping achieve progress in the overall development of all Australians.

The Role:
You will be working as part of the internal budgets and reporting team, which strives to achieve strong business partnerships with the Department’s business lines. At the APS5/6 level, you are a direct conduit between the CFO unit and line areas. Your role is to drive cohesion and support the line areas with all aspects of finance. This includes:

• Management of divisions’ budgets and forecasts
• Financial support project managers with the delivery of their projects
• Engage and contribute to cost activities
• Analysis of business performance against financial targets
• Assist with the development of the monthly management reporting packs
• Work closely with internal and external stakeholders

Your Skills and Experience:
You have worked in a management accounting and/or finance business partner role at the APS5/6 level previously. You must be able to demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to develop business relationships.

You must be an Australian Citizen to be considered for this role. A baseline is highly preferred for contractors. They are willing to sponsor clearance for S26 transfer candidates.
